Features
Give your accountant or lawyer read-only access
At year-end your accountant needs the shareholder register and the resolutions approving the financial statements. Instead of emailing files back and forth, invite them to the workspace with read-only access.
Two roles
Admins, usually the directors, can change records, upload documents and generate documents. Auditors, usually the accountant, lawyer or a reviewer, can read every register and download every document, but can't change anything.
Invite codes
Generate an invite code for the role you want, set when it expires, and send it to the person. They create their own Carta account and redeem the code to join. You can see every code you've issued.
One person, several corporations
Accountants and owners with several companies use one login and switch between corporations. Each corporation's records are kept separately.
Common questions
Can an auditor change records by mistake?
No. Auditor accounts can't edit registers, upload files or generate documents. The server refuses those changes, and the buttons aren't shown.
